Immediately after your treatment you may notice a few of the following things:

• Swelling, bruising, redness, needle marks, lumps, asymmetry, tenderness, itching or numbness in the area

• These issues above are common and should resolve over the next few hours to weeks. Your final result will be seen at about 4 weeks after treatment, and you can be reviewed to see if further treatments are required to achieve the planned results.

• If you have had lip filler and do get cold sores, please ask for Famciclovir from the chemist and take these immediately after treatment.

For the next 24 hours:

• No saunas, steam rooms, or heat (this may increase swelling & inflammation)

• Avoid pressure on the treated areas (i.e. sleep on back as much as possible)

• Avoid strenuous exercise.

• Avoid alcohol

• Avoid ibuprofen and aspirin

• Do not use AHA, BHA, Retinols/Vitamin C or make-up

• Do not massage, press or push the areas injected

• Avoid facials, peels or laser treatments, radiofrequency & massage to the area for the next 14 days

• Ice any swelling after, apply something frozen wrapped in paper towel to the area for 20-minute increments

• Monitor your face for any rashes, mottling, skin discoloration, and excess pain. Very hard lumps, oozing/pus or swelling which is worsening, is abnormal and please contact Nurse Allira if you are concerned.
